Stronks and Sons Do It Best Home Center

Ted and Mary Stronks came to Ashton in 1952. Ted was a lab technician at Ashton Memorial and Mary worked as a beautician at the Ashton Beauty Shop. After Dr. Krueger was killed in a plane crash and the hospital closed, Ted and Mary purchased the Ashton Building Center from Merrill Evans. Ted changed the name to Stronks & Sons, carrying on his great grandfather’s history of Stronks Lumber in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Ted ran the lumberyard and his son Teddy worked alongside his dad learning the business for 20 years. In 1998, Teddy and Delena purchased Stronks & Sons from his parents so his dad, Ted could retire. Mary continued enjoying her ladies and doing their hair. Stronks & Sons have grown from offering your general lumber and hardware needs to now offer all of that plus paint, appliances, propane, and Fed-Ex. They concentrate highly on customer service and being competitive in the building industry!

Now with the third generation learning the business, Stronks & Sons has transitioned from paper and pencil to computers and technology. Jeff Stronks offers appliance repairs, and T. Jay Stronks keeps Stronks & Sons up to date with his computer and business skills.
